Practice on saari embroidery and its making

Objective: At the end of this exercise you shall be able to
• make a embroidery on saari.

Requirements

Materials
• Saari cloth - 1 No. • Thread - as reqd.
• Needle - 1 No. • Thimble - 1 No.

PROCEDURE

TASK 1: Practice embroidery on saari

1 Take a saari which is block printed of any design from Fig 3
the market as shown in Fig 1.

5 Design is completed. (Fig 4)

2 Select the threads for the saari in contrast color.
3 Do stitching the with the selected colored threads.

4 Complete the design with the running stitch as shown
in Figs 2 & 3
